Mary L. Taggart
LEWISTON -
Mary Lambert Taggart, 79, died Tuesday morning, May 7, 1996, at her home in Lewiston.
She was born Dec. 28,1916, in St. George to Alma Cannon and Mary Ann Augusta Woods Lambert. She was the eighth of 10 children.
She was raised in Salt Lake City and graduated from East High School. She worked in the office of the presiding bishopric of the LDS Church until her marriage. She married Fred Edis Taggart on Dec. 5, 1938, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She is the mother of four children.
She was always an active member of the LDS Church. She served as president of the Utah State Dairy Wives Association and served on many community and county service projects.
She is survived by her husband, Edis, Lewiston; two sons and a daughter: Bryan L. and Rulea Taggart, Santa Clara, Calif.; Timothy L. and Gloria S. Taggart, Bennion Antoinette (Toni) and Jaren Pugmire, St. Charles, Idaho; 13 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Also surviving are two brothers and a sister: John W. and Lois Lambert, C.J. and Drea Lam bert, all of Salt Lake City Florence Whitman, St. George.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, James; grandsons, Scott Taggart and Cody Pugmire; brothers Francis, Cannon and Richard; sisters Doris, Enid and Evelyn.
Funeral services will be held at noon Saturday, May 11,1996, in the Lewiston 1st Ward Chapel, 10 S. 1600 West, Lewiston, with Bishop S. Willard Jessop conducting. Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. Friday at Cranney Mortuary, 420 E. 1800 North, Logan and from 10:30 a.m. until the time of services Saturday at the church. Burial will be in the Lewiston City Cemetery.
