Peterson's 100th
Family and friends of J. Leslie Peterson are honoring him on his 100th birthday.
He was born on Aug. 27, 1889, a son of Lars Peter Peterson and Ellen Ash Peterson in Logan.
He married llarene Rawlins on June 5, 1912. They were married for 70 years. She died in 1982.
Mr. Peterson has lived in the same family home in Amalga for 77 years. He was a farmer, and in his later years he enjoyed gardening, fishing and writing about; the early events and people of Alto (Amalga). He just finished writing another story in June of this year.
His living children are: Louise States, Maurice R. "Bud" Peterson, Alice Christensen, Ellen Balls, Beena Marie Perkes and Marjorie Smiley. Two sons are deceased: Burness Eugene Peterson and John Leshe. He has 17 grandchildren, 40 great-grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.
